Good evening team!
Road and trail is back on the menu! This weeks speed session will be from the Sports Centre CAR PARK, setting off at 6:15. I will still post the 2 sessions on the group for those who aren't available or comfortable with coming along.
Session 1-
12 x 1 minute on, 1 minute off. 5k target pace in mind and a nice jog recovery.
(Session from the centre will be a 15 min warm up making our way to start at the Aquarium.)
Session 2-
Kenyan Hills… 10-15 minutes of continuous effort at a comfortably hard pace. Maintain the same effort on the up as the down. It will be over in no time!!
IMPORTANT INFO-
Anyone coming along to the sessions this week please confirm in the group and let us know whether its the road or trail offering. Please avoid just turning up on the day without letting us know but it's not the end of the world if you forget and come along.
GROUPS- please stick to groups of up to 12 at the most. Groups of around 6 would be better but naturally we will all form groups as the run progresses. Maryport is only a small town and we don't want to end up on Facebook after the first run back hahah
SOCIAL DISTANCING- try to maintain social distancing at all times within the club but ensure members of the public are avoided like they've got some sort of plague..
CAR PARK- we will set off from the car park at the sports centre but if it is getting crowded with gym bunnies make your way up to the bus lay-by. The run start time will be 6:15.
Any questions at all let me know, hopefully everyone feels confident to come out and no stress if you aren't yet ready for it.
